In this research, it is investigated according to the root values transferred within the scope of the environment and climate change course curriculum, which started to be implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year. targeted. In this context, it aims to indicate the level at which the "root values" of the achievements of the environment and climate change course program are found and their distribution in the units of the curriculum. Document review method and descriptive research design were used in the research. Firstly, the distribution of root values in the achievements of the environment and climate change program was determined. In the research, it was seen that the value most related to the values education of the Environmental Education course was "respect and responsibility", and the least was "justice, friendship, honesty and patience". It has been determined that the root values in the environmental education and climate change program are not distributed evenly across the units. According to the results of the research, the values of justice, patience and honesty can be given more space among the achievements of environmental education and climate change. In order to increase these values, the mentioned values should be given more space and the values should be distributed equally to all units at each grade level. As of the new academic year, the reading texts included in the textbook should be enriched in terms of root values and practical training should be included.
