Abstract

This review article offers a critical evaluation of Jerry Bergman’s book The Three Pillars of Evolution Demolished: Why Darwin was Wrong. Bergman argues that the three foundational concepts of evolutionary theory, abiogenesis, mutations, and natural selection, are scientifically insufficient. The book goes beyond biological claims to explore the philosophical and theological implications of evolution, advocating for openness to alternative models. This review analyzes Bergman’s arguments within both the framework of scientific literature and the Islamic understanding of creation, highlighting points of alignment with verses from the Qur’an and Hadith (prophetic traditions). In this context, the article provides a multidimensional perspective for readers interested in critically examining anti-evolutionary scientific discourse.
